Clubmate Referral Scheme
Know a club or fishery that would be better off on Clubmate? Refer them, and if they sign up you both take 25% off your next year's subscription.
What you get
When a club or fishery you refer becomes a Clubmate client within six months of your referral:
Your club or fishery takes 25% off its next annual Clubmate subscription
The club or fishery you referred takes 25% off their first year
The discount comes off at your next renewal and applies on top of anything else you already receive, including the Angling Trust and Angling Cymru affiliate discount.
There is no limit on how many clubs you can refer, and each successful referral earns the discount again the following year.
How it works
Fill in the referral form with the club or fishery's name and a contact there. Make sure they are happy to hear from us before you send it.
We get in touch with them and take it from there.
If they sign up within six months of your referral, we apply both discounts at the next renewal for each of you.
We will confirm by email once a referral is accepted, and again once it converts.
Who can refer
Anyone at a club or fishery already using Clubmate. Committee members, staff, bailiffs and ordinary members are all welcome to refer, and the discount goes to the club rather than to the individual.
What we cannot accept
The scheme exists to introduce us to organisations you are not involved in running, so we cannot accept a referral for:
A club or fishery you own, control, hold office at, or have an administrative or Owner-level role in
A club or fishery we have already been in contact with in the six months before your referral
A club or fishery that had already approached us before your referral arrived
We check each referral against our records before confirming it. If it does not qualify we will tell you why.
Spreading the word
The easiest way to tell your members about the scheme is a group message straight from Clubmate. If you are not sure how, see Sending a Group message or get in touch and we will show you.
Copy the text below into your group message. Keep the bracketed sections, as those fill in the angler's name and your club name automatically.

We use Clubmate to run [FisheryName], and they have an offer worth knowing about.
If you know a fishing club or fishery that would benefit from using Clubmate, refer them using the link below. If they sign up within six months, [FisheryName] takes 25% off next year's Clubmate subscription and the club you referred gets 25% off their first year as well.
That is a straight saving on our club's running costs, and it helps another club sort out the same admin headaches we used to have.
