To change the ability for a member to purchase or renew a membership plan online via the member portal is nice and simple.
First click on Settings
Then navigate to Membership Plans
You'll now see a list of all of your membership plans and whether they are currently available to be bought online or not.
Now select the Membership plan you'd like to edit
In the Membership Details box on the right, check the 'Can be bought online' box if you would like the plan to be available to purchase online (this can be found under the 'Details' tab).
Or uncheck the box if you do not wish for the plan to be available to members via the member portal.
Then remember to click on Save Changes in the top right
NOTE: All plans are always available for manual processing.
Additionally, consider the following guidance: For renewal plans, ensure the 'Can be bought online' setting is enabled to allow members to renew their memberships conveniently.
For plans intended only for new members, leave the setting unticked until you are ready to accept new members, keeping these plans hidden from the public.
For restricted plans, such as those for specific groups like committees or complimentary memberships, leave the setting unticked if you do not want these plans publicly visible.
