Adding a day ticket product

In order for customers to book an activity they must purchase a product. This is where you control how much someone pays for their ticket. Purchasing the product will give the person credits to book the activity, in this case a day ticket.

Note: if you have varying ticket prices (eg, Adult, Junior etc.), you will need to set up a separate product for each one.

This is how you set it up:

Click on the Settings icon in top right hand corner of the screen, scroll down and select 'Products'

Click on the green Add New Product button

Add product details

You can now add the product details and add logic for activity access:

We have only listed the items you need to configure for Day Tickets below (to find out more detail on each field go to Product settings).

  • Product Name - This is the type of ticket the customer is buying, eg Adult Ticket or 2 x Fish Ticket.

Product Type - In order for the product to link to the activity you've created, the product type will need to be set as 'Credits'. If this is incorrectly configured your activity won't bookable.

  • Price - This is how much your ticket will cost your customer.

  • VatRate - If you charge VAT, you can assign the rate here. The system will then auto-calculate this for you.

  • Credits - This should be set to 1. This means that the purchase of this product enables the customer to make 1 x ticket booking. THIS IS IMPORTANT

  • Credits Valid for (days) - Leave this as zero.

Advanced Options

  • Available to purchase for - set this to Non-members and Members when setting up a day ticket.

Providing access to Activities

You will need to ensure that the product is configured to grant access to the relevant Day Ticket activity. This will enable customers to book the activity via the online bookings diary. This is done by ticking the applicable boxes under the 'Activity Access' menu under the 'Basic Options' tab.

Please note that one product can grant access to multiple activities, so you can select all boxes that apply.

Adding a Photo

If you'd like to add a visual of the product that the member is purchasing, you can do this here. Just click anywhere within the box and you'll be prompted to upload a file.

This image will be displayed as a back drop to the product during the checkout process. See example below πŸ‘‡

Now click Save changes and the product will be set up.

If you need to add multiple ticket types (eg Adult, Junior, Concession etc.) then just follow the same process as above for each ticket type. When a customer makes their booking, they will then be presented with all of the ticket types on offer for that Activity.

Now that the product is set up, it is time to add the Day Ticket to the diary. Without doing this, the activity will not be bookable online.
