Banning Users

How to ban anglers access to Clubmate.

Written by Rob Harris

If you have an unwelcome angler that you want to block from making a booking or purchasing a membership at your venue, you can do this by blacklisting their email address. This will stop them from from creating or accessing an existing member profile.

Why would I use this feature?

There may be times where you'd like to block a person from accessing any services, such as buying a membership, making a booking or even creating a new profile. If you have the person's email address you can now do this using the Block Users feature in Clubmate.

You can also restrict what the member can book (e.g., day tickets) by adjusting their profile settings. This provides an additional layer of control over member access.

Please note: If you're banning an existing member, you'll need to ensure you also cancel the membership.

How do I set this up?

Step 1 - Head to the 'Settings' menu within the top right hand corner, then select 'Fishery Info' from the dropdown list.

Step 2 - Now head to the 'Club Access' tab

Step 3 -

You'll have the option here to list the email address you like to block. Once you've entered this just click on the red 'Block' button to complete the process.

Note: Only users with the Owner role can add emails to the block list. Ensure you have the appropriate permissions before proceeding.

*Please note that blocking an email address will not stop someone from joining using an alternative email address.
