A key part of the Sales Funnel is that you can automate your outbound communications based on different stages in the funnel. This then means you can nurture those leads through a process of automated communications and into a sale.

So how do you set these up
Fundamentally the set up is very similar to how all Message automations are set up which is covered in the article in the button below.

The next steps highlight the way to use the Sales Funnel automations

Step 1
Go to Settings > Message automation

Step 2

Click on Add new message and give the automation a label (eg, membership approved email)

Step 3
So in this example we are going to create an automated message for an approved membership by using the drop downs marked.

If you use the trigger 'Sales funnel stage changed' this means this action will occur when the sales funnel stage changes ie moving a person from one stage to another.

Under Rules, you then need to specify which stage the trigger should be actioned. Im this case, it is when the member has been moved the 'Membership approved' stage.

If you wanted to delay this communication going out you can specify the number days after to delay it

*ignore minimum and maximum number of visits (leave as -1).

Step 4
It's now time to create the action that you wish to take.

In this example, we want to send an email to the member at the point they have been moved to the 'membership approved' stage, providing them with the instructions on how to complete the purchase.

If you are using 'Promo Codes' on your memberships, remember to include them here.

*remember you don't always need to send a message with automations. You could also choose to create a task, move the prospect to a different stage of the funnel or give them an award. You can also select multiple actions at the same time if you wish.
