Latest release - product updates

This latest release has focussed on improving the functionality, user experience and  reliability of our bookings & diary tools. We have also changed the online verification process, allowing clubs to switch off the ability for unknown/unwelcome visitors to register for an account.

Improved Member Experience

  • Members are now able to see a description of the activity before making a booking.

  • The number of spaces available to book is now displayed next to the activity in the diary

  • It's now possible to switch between a daily/weekly/monthly view of the diary

  • Members can filter the diary view based on location, activity type & instructor

  • Improved checkout flow, reducing the number of clicks to book and making the booking process more intuitive (eg, credits are automatically applied for each booking)

Check out this short video to see the new and improved booking process via the member portal.

Improved Admin Experience

  • Mobile optimised view of the diary

  • Ability to add a description for each activity

  • Ability to upload a photo to help promote the activity.

  • Sell 'products' as bolt-ons to each booking (eg, pay for match pools in advance or hire a boat with their day ticket)

  • Each individual diary entry now has its own unique URL, making it easier to invite members to that specific booking only.

  • Improved ongoing booking schedule management (major bug fixes, improved performance, ability to delete individual activities from an ongoing schedule)

  • It's now possible to create Free events for members and non-members.

  • Unpaid members are now restricted from making any bookings.

To see how to configure your Activities with the new functionality, take the Product Tour or see Setting Up Activities

To see the new look Diary, just navigate to the Diary section of Clubmate and you'll be shown a product tour automatically.

Other enhancements

  • Till receipts are now optional.

  • Most reports are now downloadable in to an excel spreadsheet (more to come)

  • New login & verification process - as advised previously, if the members email address is already in the database, they just need to add their email address in the log-in page. This will prompt a verification code to be sent for them to enter (bypassing the need to 'register' for an account). Clubs can disable online registration via Club Info, meaning that only known members can purchase a membership online.

Up next - product roadmap

Coming soon projects (3-6 months)

Bailiff app

  • Mobile app providing restricted access to member data. Ideal for Bailiffs as it will provide only the basic information that a Bailiff needs to know - whether an angler is authorised to fish or not!

Member app

  • Mobile app providing members with direct access to their member profile via their smart phone. Members will be able to update their details, purchase a membership and make bookings.

Online Club & Fishery marketing platform (www.castbooker.com

  • An online platform designed to help promote angling to a wider audience. The platform will be hosted under a different name (Castbooker) but will be integrated with Clubmate to make it possible to accept bookings & memberships whilst syncing with your existing Clubmate database.

Non-member ticketing tools

  • We are reviewing the booking workflow for club & fisheries selling day tickets & open matches to non-members.

Bigger long term projects

  • Xero integration

  • Reporting upgrade

  • Dedicated waiting list management

  • Online Catch Return tools

  • Competition management tools
