To trigger an ID card to be sent to a member, a product must be purchased first.

This can be free of charge, where the club will take on the cost of the cards or you can choose to charge a fee to the angler.

Either way, please remember that the club will be billed for all cards issued so please ensure you have factored in the cost of the card when you set up your product. Visit our ID card pricing article for more details.

There are 3 steps to setting up your ID card product. All three steps will need to be followed in order to be set up correctly:

Configuring your ID card product

To create the product, navigate to the Settings menu and select Products from the drop down list.

To create a new Product, click on the 'Add New Product' button.

Give it a name, eg, Membership ID Card and then click Add and Edit.

You will then see the default Product screen.

As a minimum, you will need to update the Price field but we recommend that you also add a product description so that members understand what they are purchasing.

If you are charging members to purchase their card, remember to charge enough to cover the clubs costs for fulfilment.

IMPORTANT If you want members to automatically receive the card as part of their membership, make sure that Price is set to £0.

Once the price is set, click on the Advanced Options tab at the top.

In the first drop down option 'Available to purchase for', you can choose whether you want the product available to members, non-members, both or via the Till only.

If you are charging a fee for the ID card, we recommend that you select 'Members only'.

If you are not charging a fee for the ID card, we recommend that you select 'Till only'. This will limit the product to being linked to a membership purchase only and not within the online store.

On the 'Bolt'on' dropdown, select the 'One off (on joining)' option.

This is super important as it will ensure the product is available as a bolt-on to your membership plans. This allows members to purchase the ID card during the checkout flow.

You can create as many products with different pricing as you like. For example, you may want to charge one price if the card is purchased with the membership and a different price for a replacement card. The initial card can

IMPORTANT - if you are providing ID cards free of charge with selected membership purchases, it is essential that you select the 'One-off (on joining) option from the Bolt-on dropdown list.

Attaching the ID card product as a bolt-on to your membership plans

Now that you have set up your ID card product, you need to enable the bolt-ons on your membership plans.

If you want all members to see the option to purchase an ID card during the check out process or if you want all members to receive a card as part of their membership, you can select the Bolt-on to be linked to all membership plans from within the Product screen.

Just select the box labelled 'Available on all memberships' and it will be added to all membership plans automatically.

If you want to specify which Membership plans that the bolt-on should apply to, do not select the 'Available on all memberships' option and instead head to the relevant Membership plan via Settings > Membership Plans.

Select the membership plan that you want to attach the bolt-on to and then click on the Bolt-ons tab.

Then select your new ID card product from the list and click Save,

If you want the bolt-on product to apply to multiple membership plans, you will need to repeat the process for each plan.

Enabling the product as an ID card trigger

Once you have configured the product, you will need to enable it as a trigger for an ID card to be issued.

To do this, navigate to Settings > Integrations and then select 'Configure' on the Membership ID card tile.

Select the Products tab from the top and then check the box of the ID card product that you want to use as a trigger for the ID card to be issued.

You can set up and select more than one product type if you want, for example if you want to charge different amounts for the initial card Vs a replacement card.

Once the product has been selected, every time that product is purchased, an ID card will be triggered to be sent automatically to the member.
