Enable or Disable Activity Waiting Lists

Choose whether or not to offer a waiting list for individual activities.

You can now enable or disable the waiting list feature on a per-activity basis. This gives you more control over how bookings are managed, depending on the nature of each activity.


Why Use This Feature?

Enabling or disabling waiting lists allows you to tailor your booking process for each activity. You might want to:

  • Prevent waiting lists for one-off events

  • Control availability and manage expectations more effectively

Only activities with the waiting list feature enabled will show the waitlist option to members. Others will not.


How to Set It Up

  1. Go to the Settings menu (top right corner of the admin dashboard)

  2. Select Activities from the dropdown list

  3. Create a new activity or click the Edit button on an existing one

  4. Navigate to the Booking tab

  5. Locate the Waiting list dropdown option

  6. Select either:

    • Enabled – Members can join a waiting list once the activity is full. If space becomes available, they’ll receive an email notification

    • Disabled – There will be no waiting list for the activity

  7. Click Save Changes in the top right corner


What Members Will See

  • If Enabled: Once the maximum number of attendees is reached, members will be given the option to join the waiting list

  • If Disabled: Members will see that the activity is full, with no option to join a waitlist
