Our standard customer details capture form usually captures enough information for most organisations. However, should your organisation wish to capture more specific information, you can do this via our Custom Fields feature.

You can create any custom field you like, which you can then label to suit your organisations needs. For example, if you want to capture a Vehicle Registration number, you can create a Custom Field labelled 'Vehicle Registration number' and this field will then be prompted for each member/customer to complete via their own profile.

They will have access to update this information 24/7 and you will be able to search against it in the members grid too.

You can create as many custom fields as you like and can use them to capture whatever information is relevant at your organisation eg, car reg, rod licence number, non-fishing partners name etc.

Setting up Custom Fields

To add a new custom field, go to Settings and then Club Info

Then click on the Members Area tab at the top. You'll see here the option to 'Add new field.'

When you are ready to add a new Custom Field, click this button and a new box will appear.

Enter the label of the new Custom Field eg, Vehicle Registration Number.

You can select if the field is mandatory by selecting the tick box

You can also select the response type from the dropdown menu and then click Save changes.

If you wish to lock the field down to Staff only, select Staff only. If it is set to 'Members', it will be visible on the individuals profile.

IMPORTANT: As soon as you click save changes, this field will be available for customers to update. Only add the field when you are ready to capture this information.

Where to find Custom Field in members profile

Custom fields are located at the bottom of the member profile underneath the Source dropdown box.

You can search for the data held within a custom field via the members grid. For example, if you wanted to find out who drives car reg ABC 123, you could enter this data in the members grid and it will produce the results for you to review.

Populating custom fields

Admin users can update the custom field via the members profile and the member/customer can update the field via their own secure access.

They will be prompted to complete this information when they buy a membership or book a ticket. They can also update the field at any time via the Update your details button in their profile.
