Latest release - product updates

With renewal season fast approaching, our latest update focusses on an enhanced membership renewal process. We've also introduced a new feature we are calling Awards ๐Ÿ†.

Memberships & Renewals

Membership plans are now categorised as either 'New Member & Renewal' or 'Renewal'.

When a Membership plan is categorised as New & Renewal, it is available to both new members joining the club and existing members who are renewing. Whereas for plans categorised as Renewal, these will only appear for existing members when they renew (as long as they renew within your specified renewal window).

Additionally, you can now specify which membership plans are offered to existing members based on which membership type they already hold.

Not only that, but we've made it even easier for your members to Renew via their member profile too.

Key highlights

  • New categorisation of membership type - New or Renewal

  • Introduction of a 'Renewal window' (both pre expiry and post expiry)

  • Ability to specify which plans existing members are allowed to purchase

See our Membership plans - New / Renew article for more detailed information on how this affects your current plans.

Here's a short 3 min video showing you how easy it is for a member to renew now๐Ÿ‘‡

Awards

We have introduced a new feature that enables you to acknowledge your members and customers with an award.

The award can be assigned manually or you can set it up to be automatically assigned based on the number of visits. For example, members who attend 5 x work parties might be acknowledged with a 'Work Party Hero' award or a member who wins your winter match league might be manually awarded a 'Winter League Champion' award (you can make up the names of the Awards yourselves).

Awards have been designed to enhance engagement with your members and customers however they can also help you monitor & also financially reward your members/customers too.

See our Awards article for more information.

Other enhancements

  • We've re-introduced the emergency contact fields in the member/customer form during registration.

  • Baskets will now be wiped if a product/membership hasn't been purchased within seven days of being added. This is to help reduce accidental duplicate purchases.

  • We have made lots of smaller changes & bug fixes throughout the system to improve your user experience too.

Up next - product roadmap

Coming soon projects (3-6 months)

Bailiff app

  • Mobile app providing restricted access to member data. Ideal for Bailiffs as it will provide only the basic information that a Bailiff needs to know - whether an angler is authorised to fish or not. *we know how excited you are about this feature and can assure you we are working very hard to get this to you as soon as we can. This year hasn't been the easiest to work with which has meant we have had to change priorities on a number of occasions but we are still aiming to release the app within the first 6 weeks of 2021.

Member / customer app

  • Mobile app providing members & customers with direct access to their profile via their smart phone. Users will be able to update their details, purchase a membership and make bookings without the need to login every time.

Xero integration

  • This integration will allow you to connect Clubmate to Xero accounting software and will push financial data out of Clubmate and in to Xero, making it even easier to manage your accounts.

Bigger long term projects

  • Booking Bans & Members Bans

  • Zapier integration

  • Dedicated waiting list management

  • Competition management tools

*please remember that the roadmap is only a guide and is subject to change.
