Using payments within Clubmate incurs an additional transaction fee of 1%. This fee is on top of the standard fees that both Stripe and GoCardless charge and all transaction fees are deducted from the payout to your account.
In the UK, total transaction fees are currently:
Direct Debit = 2%
Card = 2.4% + 20p
This is broken down by:
Clubmate transaction fee = 1%
+
GoCardless = 1% (min 20p, max £2)
or
Stripe = 1.4% +20p per transaction
To collect payments by Direct Debit, it will cost:
1% GoCardless + 1% Clubmate transaction fee = Total 2%
For example, if the payment collected form your member equals £100, you will receive £98 in your bank account. This is minus the £2 in transaction fees (GoCardless fees = £1 and Clubmate transaction fees = £1)
To collect payments by card, you will be charged:
1.4% + 20p Stripe + 1% Clubmate transaction fee = Total 2.4% +20p
For example, if the payment collected form your member equals £100, you will receive £97.40 in your bank account. This is minus the £2.60 in transaction fees (Stripe fees = £1.40 + 20p (£1.60) and Clubmate transaction fees = £1)
