All purchases and one-off payments processed manually from within Clubmate are processed via the Till. These include products, tickets, membership payments and the collection of overdue payments.ย

To set up the till, you will first need to create Products and if applicable, Product Groups. If you haven't already done so, click on the links above to learn more about how to do that first.ย

The till allows you to collect payment by Cash, Cheque and Card.ย

Email receipts for products purchased are automatically sent to members with email addresses.

Using the Till

You can begin the purchase from within the Members profile (click the blue New Purchase button) or by going straight to the Till module on the left hand panel.

If you start in the members profile, then their name will automatically appear in the till and the purchase will be allocated against their name.ย

If you go straight to the till, remember to locate & add the members name if you want to allocate the purchase to them. ย

Now select the product being purchased by clicking on the relevant button.ย

The product will now be listed underneath the member or guests details, the value will also be added in the panel on the right. ย Should you wish to add more products, then follow the steps above and it will automatically be added to the total. Where applicable, you can also add ad-hoc values.

If you want to take a payment by card and it's the first time you are taking payment by card for the member, you will need to add their card first.ย

You can do this by clicking on the Orange Card button or by clicking on 'add one now' under the members name.

When you are ready to take payment, you can either select Card, Cash or Cheque.

You can now allocate the payment type for this payment: Cash, Card or Cheque, click the appropriate button on the panel on the right and then 'Complete Sale'.

If you are processing a membership payment, the details of the purchase (membership type, payment value etc.) will automatically be populated for you. See Taking a payment for a Membership for more detail.

Done!

The member will now receive an email receipt confirming details of their purchase.

Tip - if you are unable to see 'Complete Sale', it is likely that you haven't selected a payment method yet. Select that first and it will appear.
